  Excellent new local business, which I came across while searching for someone to clean the gutters on our 2-storey, wind-exposed house at Goolwa Beach. We received prompt responses, the job was well done, and there was a willingness to work outside the square when it came to solving problems. Cliff Wyllie is the owner, and from the first call, the signs were good. So, I hear you ask, how hard can it be to clean gutters? Well, first of all you have to have a long enough ladder, and there are those in the business who don't, surprisingly enough. Apart from doing the job promptly and really well, Cliff also adds some value to his work which was pleasing, intriguing and even amusing. First as I obviously couldn't see my gutters before and after, he sent me a report and some pictures, including a couple showing just how badly blocked our down pipes were, after the nesting starlings had been hard at work. There was one section of guttering he couldn't get to. I'd have been none the wiser until we had a problem. But he told me about it, and then said he'd worked out that he could at least inspect the area using his GoPro, which he then did, having constructed an extension pole for the purpose. He said if the video showed a problem he'd find a way to fix it. Thankfully it didn't. Then he emailed me the video, accompanied by, I think, Wagner's 'The Ride of the Valkyries', and Star Wars style credits. On top of that, I get a free inspection next year. That cost me $240, so not exactly cheap, but I'm very happy to say that I thought it was worth every cent. (And no. I'm not a mate. I didn't know this bloke from Adam. I found him by calling the real estate agent who sold me the house and asking who they use for property maintenance on their rental properties. Cliff had just been into their office and left his card. I wouldn't normally have taken the chance of using someone who didn't come recommended, but I was getting desperate.)
